Demand Management & Forecasting Workshop
(Understanding & communicating true demand)
Workshop Date: 2018-11-15
The need to be a customer-driven enterprise has pushed companies to pursue supply chain projects that are designed to serve the customers better, cheaper, and faster. The implementation of an ERP system facilitated most of the downstream supply chain processes. This enabled users to spend more time analyzing their organization's performance and improvement areas, which further improve the company's supply chain scorecard.
However, these improvements are not enough. As competition intensifies and consumers becoming more value conscious, over reliance on the supply improvements alone resulted in an "over-stretched" supply system resulting in high cost of operation or poor customer service.
To address this issue, companies implemented a process to capture and communicate customer demand. This process is called Demand Management and Forecasting (DM&F) and has enabled companies to tailor fit their supply systems to customer demand patterns resulting in lower production cost and higher customer service levels. Learn how best companies manage demand and design a supply infrastructure to efficiently and effectively serve customer demand.
